WAITING FOR YOU, the brand-new original comedy, takes place in Heaven. Men aren’t welcomed, so when two of them show up, all hilarity breaks loose!

This sunny-side-up romp through the Afterlife tells the story of Bobby and Susie, who is just too young to pass on but eagerly awaits her heavenly reward for a life well-lived. After passing through the Terminal of Sublime Awesomeness, she discovers a far goofier version of Paradise than anyone could ever imagine.

                                                                                                                                     

WAITING FOR YOU is the first musical comedy conceived and created in the Upstate and premiering in the Upstate.

 

Colorful characters include Mattie and Joanie, two of the four saints; Dr. Jessie Christie; Bobby’s lecherous dad, Robby; and more.  Kimilee Bryant, who starred in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA on Broadway, performs alongside a zany cast of talented actors in a production that will leave you laughing and singing to Eternity and beyond!

 

Dr. S. David Berry is a composer and professor of composition at Converse University, where he has produced two operas and teaches a wildly popular course about The Beatles. John Jeter, best known as co-owner of the iconic Handlebar music venue in Greenville, is a published author who teaches at Converse and USC Upstate. Director Michelle Newman has participated in nearly 200 theatre productions in the Upstate and Western North Carolina.
