Ian Russell Wins National Voiceover Award
Dallas, Texas - August 28, 2021, Spartanburg resident, Ian Russell, was presented with the One Voice Award USA 2021 for Gaming - Best Performance - male, this year at the One Voice Awards, Hyatt Regency Dallas Airport. His winning entry was for Payday 2 video game character, Vernon Locke. This follows on from 2 wins last year at the London One Voice Awards 2020 for Animation, Best Male Character performance (Badanumu Vulture Sr) and Male Voice Artist of the Year.
Gravy For the Brain, in the United Kingdom organizes these awards, which have been held for the last 4 years in London. This year for the first time, along with the British event, there was a US version of these awards, in Dallas. Although Ian is originally from the UK, he has been resident in South Carolina since 2014, where he officially started his voice acting career. He usually works from his professional home studio providing voiceovers for clients all over the world.
