SYT presents Miss Nelson is Missing!, October 11-12
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Miss Nelson can't control her crazy classroom because she's just too nice. But when she disappears, her replacement is the hard-as-nails, detention-loving, recess-canceling, homework-overloading substitute teacher Viola Swamp! With the Big Test approaching, the kids suddenly realize how much they miss Miss Nelson. They'll do anything -- including hiring a private eye -- to solve the mystery of her disappearance and bring her back! This stage adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher is adapted from the classic children’s book by Harry Allard and James Marshall.
Ahsha Daniels will return as guest director for SYT’s season opener. Daniels has previously guest directed Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, and A Charlie Brown Christmas.
The cast and crew of Miss Nelson is Missing is made up of local youth in grades 3 -12, supporting the Spartanburg Youth Theatre’s mission of producing theatre “by youth, for youth.”
