Lunch and Learn: Maps Alive! Part 2 - Independence to 1830
Spartanburg, SC — Spartanburg County Historical Association (SCHA) welcomes local historian and map expert Ron Swain Friday, April 24, 12:30-1:30 p.m. for the April installment of its monthly Lunch & Learn lecture series. Join Swain as he continues to illuminate political, social, and geographic changes using maps of the United States. In this segment of his "Maps Alive!" series, Swain will pick up where "Part 1 - Colonization to Independence" left off and highlight geographic changes in the New Nation period. Lunch & Learns are held in the Callie and John Rainey Conference Room in the West Wing of Chapman Cultural Center. Catered lunches will be available through Palmetto Palate, reserved in advance through SCHA's online gift shop. Tickets and a limited number of lunches will be available at the door. Admission is $5; free for SCHA Members. For a sandwich or salad box (includes beverage and dessert) and admission the price is $15.
