The Kid Zone sponsored by Cannon Roofing will feature various events scheduled throughout the day by some amazing Community Organizations including: Kidding Around Spartanburg, Spartanburg County Public Libraries, The Children's Museum of the Upstate - Spartanburg, The City of Spartanburg Parks and Recreation - Lets Play Mobile, Fairforest Middle School, Hub City Kids, and Spartanburg Science Center!

The Makers Market sponsored by Duke Energy will be set up where over 35 regional artisans will sell their wares–keeping 100% of their profits–so you can keep a piece of local culture even after you fly away. Everything will be affordable and locally handcrafted.

Another reason to stop by Spartanburg Soaring! is all of the amazing food vendors who will be attending the festival! This year's vendors include: Growler Haus Spartanburg, Hub City Scoops, The Farmers Table, Pig on Fire, The Streatery, Java Up, and One Love Fusion!
Community Zone!
This year we have plenty of Community Organizations stopping by the festival to make sure there is something everyone can enjoy! Community Organizations participating include: Hatcher Garden Woodland Preserve, Logos Theatre, Spartanburg Area Conservancy, Spartanburg Swing, and Spartanburg Earth Day, SAMBA, WSPA, Arrowhead Design Company, and Imagination Station!
Kite Flying Fields!
In spring 2014, Chapman Cultural Center launched a community-wide initiative called Spartanburg Soaring! to encourage creativity, promote healthy outdoor activity, and to build civic pride. Using kites as a common theme, Spartanburg Soaring! engaged cultural curiosity and promoted active play through activities and events all across the city. The kite festival takes place in and around the Chapman Cultural Center each spring when hundreds of colorful kites fill the skies above Spartanburg.
Join us April 13 from 11am - 5pm for live music, great food trucks, and a makers market. Kites are available for purchase from Imagination Station, or you can bring a kite from home!
