May 2011 Fri May 6, 2011 Arsenic and Old Lace When the elderly Abby and Martha Brewster offer their lonely gentleman callers a glass of homemade elderberry wine, the results are always fatal—and hilarious. It’s up to their young nephew Mortimer to deal with his homicidal aunts, his uncle who believes he’s Teddy Roosevelt, his newly betrothed fiancé, and his murderous brother who has recently undergone plastic surgery to look like Boris Karloff, all while trying to keep the police at bay. This hilarious farce is a classic screwball comedy that is just as funny today as the day it premiered. Sat May 7, 2011 Taste of the Backcountry Come experience a “Taste of the Backcountry” of South Carolina as it was in the early 1800s at the Price House. All activities and evaluations are included in the admission price. Picnics are welcome and BBQ and concessions will be available for purchase, so come and make a day of it!
